What’s new

November 2026

  1. Sweat tracking on pause

We have paused tracking changes in Sweat for now: there are no significant updates, and the app sits behind a hard paywall. We will check it again in a few months.

  2. See an app before you sign in

App pages now open for everyone: pick a month and see its first screens. A short note below says what else is there, including how many monthly Changes breakdowns the app has.

  3. A calmer look across the site

Backgrounds and panels now share one neutral tone, and extra outlines around blocks are gone, so screenshots and text stand out more.

  4. New icons everywhere

The whole site now uses our own set of soft, filled icons, so buttons and menus look consistent from page to page.

October 2026

  1. Digest as a list of issues

Every Digest issue now has a cover, its date and the opening lines, so you can pick the one you want. Older issues load as you scroll, and the end of each issue links to the Previous and Next one.

  2. Sign in with an email link

The waiting list is gone. Enter your email on the landing page and we send a sign-in link. If something goes wrong, Contact support reaches us directly.

  3. Look around any app page

Any app page now opens with its preview and the list of months, so you can look around before diving into the details.

  4. One reading layout everywhere

Highlights, Changes, Hypotheses, Digest and Favourites now share the same article layout, spacing and share buttons. Code blocks wrap instead of scrolling, and the copy button stays in place.

  5. Feedback form in the footer

Send us a note from the Feedback link in the footer. Tell us what to cover next or what isn’t working.

  6. Share an update in one tap

The share dialog for Changes and Hypotheses now offers WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, X, LinkedIn and Email with their own icons.

September 2026

  1. Highlights skip empty Changes

Apps with no real changes in a month no longer show up in Highlights as empty entries.

  2. Cleaner app pages and sharper previews

The app page header puts the description under the name, and screenshot previews load sharper.

  3. Save and share Changes inside an app

Each Changes entry on an app page can now be added to Favourites and shared, the same way as in Highlights.

  4. Easier month navigation

On an app page the previous and next months sit centred under the screenshots, so you can step through time without scrolling back up.

  5. GrowApp.now has a new front page

A new landing page explains what is inside the library, shows an example and answers common questions, with live counts of the research we have collected.

August 2026

  1. Screenshots page by month

App screenshots now load one month at a time, with the month switcher in the app header, so long histories open quickly.

  2. Links that open Screenshots or Changes

Every app tab has its own address, so a link to an app’s Screenshots or Changes opens exactly that view.

  3. Zoom from the screenshot you clicked

The full-size viewer opens from the image you clicked and zooms in place.

  4. Copy a screenshot from the viewer

A copy button in the full-size viewer puts the screenshot on your clipboard. Icons across the site were redrawn in one consistent style.

  5. Roomier Changes and desktop navigation

Changes entries have a cleaner layout, and the desktop header navigation is easier to scan and switch.

  6. Back to top on screenshot pages

A button brings you back to the top of a long screenshot page, and hides while the viewer is open.

  7. Refreshed App Library

The App Library has fresh previews and a layout that adapts better to phones and tablets.

  8. Loading placeholders

Digest, Hypotheses, Favourites and Changes show a content outline while loading instead of a blank page.

July 2026

  1. A new home page

The front page was rebuilt with a clear intro, features and a call to action. Cookie settings now let you choose what analytics to allow.

  2. Faster pages and richer link previews

Lists load in pages and heavy tools load on demand. Shared links show a proper title and preview in messengers.

  3. Share any update

Updates can be shared with a link straight from the feed, Favourites and the opened entry.

  4. Sign in with an email link

Enter your email and open the link we send. You return to the page you wanted, and Enter submits the form.

June 2026

  1. Updates feed and Favourites

The main screen shows a feed of the latest updates. Hearts save entries to a Favourites page.

  2. Digest section

Digest issues have their own section in the header, with a page for every issue.

May 2026

  1. Highlights on app pages

Every app page opens with a Highlights block for quick orientation before the screenshots.

  2. Highlights and a new app bar

A Highlights page collects the notable changes across apps, and a new bar lets you switch between apps without going back.

  3. Copy button on code

Code blocks in Changes and Hypotheses have a copy icon.

  4. Redesigned app menu

The app menu was rebuilt to be clearer and easier to use.

  5. Two more apps

Praktika and Yazio were added to the library.

  6. App sidebar

A sidebar on app pages lets you move between sections of an app.

  7. Hypotheses reading view

Hypotheses got a new layout for reading each entry in full.

April 2026

  1. Endless scrolling

Screenshots and Changes keep loading as you scroll, with no month-by-month jumping.

  2. Tidier grid and footer

The App Library grid, footer and navigation received a round of polish.
